2025 - A Year in Review

Hey everyone!

As the year winds down, we wanted to take a moment to look back at everything this community built together. It’s been a wild, wonderful twelve months.

A Year of Growth

We ran 61 sessions this year - nearly 250 hours of shared stories across one-shots and campaigns. 84 players stepped into Eorthwyn with us, some for the first time, some for entire arcs. We started 2025 with a single sold-out campaign…and we’re heading into 2026 with four, also all sold out. That one still blows our minds.

This happened because of you, and because of our growing team. Hannah joined us as a wonderful GM, and Aiden came aboard as our in-house painter, helping bring minis and sets to life.

Milestones That Shaped the Year

Last spring we hit Terminal City Tabletop Convention, ran games, gave a talk on combat design, and sponsored the show. We also tested a Kickstarter-style idea for a rentable studio. The lesson was loud and clear: folks want premium adventures run by a GM who loves this craft, so we doubled down on that.

We kept scaling behind the scenes too, automating booking, calendars, and Discord to lighten the load and free up more time for storytelling.

And then, the big one: after months of searching (including a failed attempt at moving house), we found a home for The Studio in South Vancouver. Building began this winter with a genuinely incredible team of set decorators. Seeing the space come alive has been pure magic, and we can’t wait to show you.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Next year is going to be huge.

The Studio launches. January is all about construction; table, walls, lighting, and the last immersive touches. Campaigns will move in first, followed by a proper fanfare when one-shots open. With the elevated experience comes a new pricing structure, but we’ll share those details once everything is finalized.

We’re also returning to Terminal City Tabletop Convention, this time in a much bigger way. Once scheduling locks, we’ll announce exactly what we’re doing there (but trust us, it’s exciting!).

Behind the scenes, we’re working on a brand-new website with far easier booking and player management. No dates yet, but it’s a major priority as The Studio becomes our new home base.

Finally, we’re going to be expanding the products we’ve been offering our Campaign players. The custom character miniatures weren’t enough! We are going to be collaborating with a few fantastic local artists on other custom products - dice, trays, and more. Keep an eye out!

Thank You

Running and growing Campfire is a dream job for all of us. You make that possible. Your enthusiasm, your characters, your chaos, and your kindness shaped this year, and set the stage for a much bigger next one.

From all of us: happy holidays. Rest up, recharge, and we can’t wait to roll dice with y’all come the new year.

Here’s to more stories.
